Best of Mindo - Nambillo Ecological Reserve

The Mindo-Nambillo Ecological Reserve is located in the small town called Mindo in Pichincha. Mindo was the first Ecuadorian city to be declared an area of bird importance.

I had the fantastic opportunity to visit Mindo and being a Local Guide I can share my experience through photos and opinions with ecuadorians and foreigners. I hope my story motivates others to keep on traveling and learning.

On February 2 at 7 pm, I arrived at the Hotel Las Tángaras in Mindo, accompanied by my friends, visited local crafts and bought some souvenirs. The next day, we toured Mindo-Nambillo Cloud Forest, it was fantastic, we observed waterfalls, birds, butterflies, orchids and we took many photographs. I also noticed that several extreme activities can be practiced and there are even Chocolate routes.

It is important to take into account that from Guayaquil to Mindo, it is almost 8 hours by bus. I would recommend carrying insect repellent, sunscreen and appropriate shoes for the occasion. The tour is several hours but they are totally worth it.

Thank you to all the readers for dedicating your time in this post.
