While Paris is the home of the baguette the croissant and other delish dishes too! We don’t often think about this unsung hero…Hot Chocolate! It dates back before the United States existed and no one makes it better than the French. There is a wide variety to meet anyone’s taste, and I found the small secret spots off the tourist paths, that you should try. Even though i have tried over 20 places, I have narrowed the winners down to ten and happily will share them with you. But first, I need to know what type of hot chocolate you like, Ancient? That mean that no water or milk is added, it is just rich thick 100% chocolate which can be found at Isle de Charlotte. Devine isn’t it? Not too sweet,Charles Chocolatier is a place that gives you sugar to add as you like. Most accessible and famous would be Angelina that has a cafe in most major museums. While a close winner was Cyril Lignac with the a gorgeous and subtle delight, he sadly disappoints in the use of a paper cups. My top pick and winner in my heart and belly is Jacques Genin who beautiful tasting room matches the top quality product hidden in the back streets of the 3rd Arrondissement. That’s just a few, and I know more. Want to share a cup?
