As someone who is really into bike riding and just moved to the San Jose area, I wanted to create a map of all the major bike trails in the south Bay Area and share it here. Mainly off the road but easy enough to ride regular bikes along. I may have missed a few trails or naming errors and could try to fix them if possible.
I have created this google maps to help me remember most of the trails around me, and please let me know if you think that I have forgotten any critical paths.

Here’s a crazy thought, I aspire for the day when people give significant bike trails route numbers similar to what we have on the highways. Would help me a lot if they have signs of the route numbers placed at junctions that clearly shows the riders where to go and having the signs be consistent with a statewide bike standard. Make our bike network be brought up to the same standard as the existing road network.
