Hi @maggie_zavala could you tell us something about these beaches? I stayed on Crete for six weeks once, I seem to remember that Elafonisi was very popular with tourists and has something different about it to the other beaches.

Crete is an astonishing place. Do you live there? What were your criteria for these beaches?

For those who asked me why i choose these beaches, i have to say that i live in Crete since september 2018 therefore i have been exploring the Island since then., i have lived in Rethymno, now in Heraklion, and i choose these beaches because specifically last summer i visited many places in Crete as Bali, Hersonissos, Carteros, Amoudara, Malia, Xania, Elafonisi and more.
In Elafonisi the color water of water is a very clear blue, not deep and Pink sand.
In Matala there is a festival every year with camping and is at the south of Crete
In Hersonissos is a Village, full of shops, night clubs, and many options of food, excursions, rental cars and hotels
In Malia i loved the Blue color of water and the beach is different energy from Hersonissos for example.
In Arena Beach for me the best is the view of the sunset.
There are other beautiful beaches of course i will continue developing next numbers on the top.
