Benefit of Eating Okra

Benefits of Okra. A diet rich in fruits and vegetables can reduce the risk of a range of health conditions, including obesity, diabetes, and cardiovascular disease. The mucilage of okra is also said to bind cholesterol and bile acid.

Okra is a traditional food in nigeria eaten almost in every home, we also have different ways of enjoying okra, we most times make it as soup and enjoy it with what we nigerians call swallow, and we have different ways of making it to suit the kind of taste we want.

We also sometimes make it with veggies for more nutrients and sometimes we make it with sea food:

We sometimes also make it with pumpkin leaf, for more nutrients, or use hot leaf, traditional name for hot leaf in nigeria is (Oziza leaf) for mothers who just gave birth to help them heal and also help the blood in their lower abdomen from given birth flow out well.
