Bellam tea and Chai pe Charcha

Bellam tea, also known as jaggery tea or gud ki chai, is the traditional chai made with jaggery (bellam in Telugu) as a sweetener instead of sugar. It is a popular choice in Andhra and Tamil Nadu where people prefer it over refined sugar.

We recently met at the Nellai millets restaurant which is famous for its Bellam tea

The restaurant is famous for different dishes all made from variety of millets. We decided to have our next food crawl at this restaurant because we have not even heard of some of the dishes on the menu here

After discussing the day’s meet up , as we had come here after Dosa food crawl and meet up at Raju’s Dosa club

Dosa Food Crawl and Meet up

we planned for the next meet up and dispersed.
