A call out to all local guides in belfast. It would be good to organise a meet up or walk about. Would anyone be interested?
Hi LisaM,
I am Belfast based too, hopefully when the weather is better and we can find a few more people a meet up would be good.
Hi Lisa / Emma,
Nice to meet you both. I have annoyed a few friends who have started using Google maps to join in here…so lets see. We might get our meet up soon enough.
Have a nice week.
Best,
Ciaran
@LisaM now that the weather’s relatively better, shall we Belfast photogs meet up? You name a date of convenience. Perhaps a Saturday morning?
Hello!
I would be up for a meet-up some day while the sun is good if people are interested!
Bonus points if you suggest a beer garden
Heads up Irish Local Guides: Lovely Listowel Photo Walk hosted by world famous Damo O’Mahony is getting people talking about Ireland and Local Guides. Cities around the world are joining in to help improve Google Maps on a global scale. What can we do to help you tell all your Local Guides friends? RSVP ASAP. Irish event for World Wide Map Edit Walk is Saturday https://maps.google.com/localguides/meetup/lovely-listowel-photo-walk
This walking tour looks great and everything but it’s in County Kerry… I thought this was a Belfast thread (albeit a very quiet one).
Yes, Frank314, HelloSamsonR is bussing it, 3 days, one way, across Africa to host World Wide Map Edit Walk for us, so let’s support him. All Ireland is invited to Lovely Listowel, invite your Scotch, Welsh and Pommy LG friends too. If Listowel’s too far, host for Belfast. Googlers are fast-tracking events before their weekend knock off. Tell us, what can we do to help you Irish Local Guides? Kindest regards from Osaka78

Thanks Osaka,
A local one for Belfast would be a great idea if someone was willing to host it.
Love a road trip but it’s a bit short notice for Listowel. I’ve already got plans to take some tasty maps photos from the Empire this Saturday.
Cheers!
P.S. if I called any of my Scottish friends ‘Scotch’ I’m pretty sure I’d receive a dig in the head.
Yes, we’re cheering you on. Tell the Scots we deserve a dig. Kindest regards from Osaka78 PS here’s world famous Damo in the paper: http://www.kerryseye.com/
