Journey to the center of the Earth. (Las ardillas 2)
well I was not quite sure where to put this post but assuming that this pictures was not taken appropriate (im not even amateur on photography) I decided to put on here, as travel, because this was like traveling so far. 4 hours from Mexico City, you will find Queretaro, and near the capital, there a Mining area, hills and mountains, no so high, here you will find a Natural Park or reserve, where you will find a mazing view, as usually in Mexico.
hear! another hidden spot, but this despite other in witch light is part of the magnificence, down all this threes and blue sky, there’s an entrance not notice, is just a cave, one of those entrance who looks like going in to something scary.
a bench cover the entrance, once you cross there a group of rocks as stairs helping you to go down, once you are there you need to be on your knees to get in to it, theres where the adventures begin, no even a single light, the only who gave us idea where to go it was my head lamp in to my Helmet.
i had to walk a bit, it was easy being stand until the cave came closer, and it was really hard to walk, there was a moment in whitch If a wanted yo continue I have to get in to the mug, and use my knees to cross the other side, once I was able to stand again, there was the firs rope, I use my equipment and the declined being.
when I read journey to the center of the earth I imagine each character well suited, wearing a really clean jacket, just walking, but here, after a couple steps my entire clothes was cover by mug water and a bit of sand.
my team and I stared to go deep in to the cave and after changing of ropes, decending several times it was like time didn’t pass, after a while when I started to feel tired, I check my watch. we started at 3 pm it was 7 pm, I couldn’t believed 5 hours, and I just feel like 1 house since we started.
once we took time to rest and when we started to find lagoons, small onces, we know it was time to go back, we have a schedule, we planed to be at the entrance again at midnight, we had time to go back.
we arrived at a point in which it was hard to be stand, even on your knees, spaces was so small that I feel a bit scare, in that point I have the chance to be alone couple minutes so I turn off my head lamp, I calm my self as much as I could, and then, nothing. no sound, no smell, no light at all.
after a couple minutes having the most amazing relaxing moment in my life, lights came to me and it was time to go back, ti me to climb.
this is a short descriptions of what it means go in to a cave, be there for around 8 hours and go down around 150 meters. we return to the entrance at 1:00 am, by we I refer my team and I.
this is an experience in one of the thousands caves in Sierra Gorda Queretaro, Mexico, those who want to try espeleology this is a good beginning.
sorry for my pictures, I had not a proper camera and I lose one in there.
