Local Guides Program, for me is a classic door that creates the path to explore, innovate and build myself for the community. As the name suggests, being local is what the program is all about for me.
Right from a small eatery stall placed on the street to a luxurious restaurant at an exotic location, I have been inspired to capture each element that is worth sharing to help millions. Being a local guide is being local towards small businesses, reporting the problems faced by customers in a cafe as well as locals in a public toilet.
Through my photos and reviews, restaurants have been able to identify me and the local shopkeepers have been thankful enough for one review put by me. It not only gives me a sense of local responsibility but also displays that I am creating business and smiles for others out there.
To every place I travel, the Local Guide Program has motivated me to capture something unique about that place. It could be the historical monuments, the museums the great eateries, the small businesses operating with high profits, the unseen structures or the greenery of that location. It has given me the sense of being absolutely local for the benefit of the community. For me this program is not about contributing towards only the expensive restaurants, the famous places, the libraries but it is more about telling people where to go, what should they eat, how should they travel and what are the essential items that they should carry to a certain place.
With the information provided through reviews, I feel privileged enough to have been that part of the program which drives people to visit a certain place by in depth review put by me.The program has built me confidently and has provided me the strength to write the good part as well as the bad part about a certain place. It has given me the power to express my honest opinions as a local citizen, a local customer, a local visitor and most importantly as a Local Guide.
