Being a Local Guide

I started sharing my experiences with the Google Local Guide program because it was easy and fun. Gaining points was rewarding and it became somewhat of an addiction but after a while you realize that the work you put into writing reviews, sharing photos, and making lists has a more subtle reward.

Google as a platform has one of, if not the, largest user base in the world and connects billions of people. An honest review can genuinely make somebody’s day better by giving them insight into the choices they will make. Even something small as a collective of stars :woman_singer: :woman_singer: :woman_singer: :woman_singer: :woman_singer: can lead people to choose the best option and make companies treat customer service as important as it is.

I am very happy that I am able to help people in such a seamless way.

Hi @alB11 ,

If you’re applying to Connect Live 2020 make sure to share a link to a new Connect post responding to this year’s application prompt. You can find everything you need to know about writing a post for Connect Live 2020 here.

P.S. I will relabel your post to Local Stories, because the criteria for the Connect Live 2020 applications is to post your content there.
