BEING A LOCAL GUIDE: THE PATTERN OF HUMAN CONNECTIONS

The cool thing bout being a Local Guide is how helpful you can be once someone is planning a tour in your city or a place that you visited, being a part of other’s points of view, sharing their sites and giving your opinion to the community.

We have the chance to give an insight which has nothing to do with the touristic business, while instead the only purpose is sharing:

  • a meaningful experience, which could be for food lovers, museum addicted, shopaholics and much more!

  • all the feelings connected to a place or an experience, perceived from our sensitivity and shared for everybody pleasure!

  • places, not only the usual ones (museums, restaurants, landscapes) but also the hidden ones, those discovered by chance, while walking and enjoying our journey; a journey that can be in our very city, where we can act as tourists and figure out new spots!

  • informations, they are super helpful while planning a visit/trip, because they allow others to decide where to go and when, where to eat (opening time, food intolerances, children menus etc), or which services and amenities will be available during a stay!

in a way dedicated to everybody, as to say “I loved this corner of the world and I would like to show it to you through my eyes”.

Local Guides Program represents the very soul of how useful the web can be and how amazing it is to use the internet to share emotions.

The best part? It is not just about “Try this nice restaurants” or “Go to this interesting museum”, it is more than that: it is about a virtual connection with a stranger, an opening between two subjects who does not know each others and decide to trust the other’s opinion, despite being 100% local or someone who visited your same spot elsewhere.

Being a Local Guide makes me feel an element in the pattern of human connection, an unkonwn friend for a new experience and a promoter for the local traders and artisans.
