Being a Local Guide: My Pride

My journey as a local guide for my university community begun one day when got a push notification on from google asking for some photos and recommendation

for the place i just visited which gladly did. Ever since that time, I don’t just feel the experiences of the places I visit alone, i share them with google map so as to help other who wish to be where I was have a fore feeling of the place they are about visiting.

Specifically, I usually share photos my university (University of Cape Coast) where I school currently which help visitors coming to my university campus have a fore view and feel of the campus with the aid of google map. This my initiative has made me quite popular here on campus having gotten over 64,000 views on photos I uploaded so far. I have also always love to know people I’ve helped with the help of google map local guide hence mostly, I check my contributions frequently to see if I’ve had any feedback on my posts. These feedbacks will help guide my future contributions on google map.

Being a local guide means a lot to me and I don’t mind priding I’ve helped people and hence their choice of visiting a particular place. Google map is like the eyes to people’s step and people’s consultant to make choices as to where to visit and I must say I feel proud to contribute to such a great course.
