I started to be an active Local Guide after I became a mom and moved away from my usual environment and circle of people. That’s why the most I like to indicate in reviews whether the place is suitable for parents with children, as often there is no information about this. In Kyiv still a lot of places where it is impossible to get with a baby stroller or there is no place to change a diaper. A lot of moms in Kyiv do not use public transport, do not visit shoping malls, restaurants, spa centers and beauty salons. I can not make these places more child-friendly, but I can tell other moms what places are wortg of attention and suitable for them. I like to travel, visit new places, new restaurants with my baby and want to make trips for other moms easier.
I have three main reasons why I share impressions and photos of the places I’ve visited are:
- I like to help people, and here by one action, which takes a little time, I can help a large number of people.
- The appearance of some places, such as hotel rooms or dishes at restaurants at the owner’s photos, is significantly different from the real one. I often look at photos of other visitors before visiting new places to have better imagination of a place.
- As every person has a different opinion, so the more different reviews are, the better you can understand whether a place is appropriate to visit. Also, many people tend to leave a review only when they did not like something very much, driven by anger they do not mind spending time and writing something bad about the place. At the same time Local Guides write reviews about visited places systematically and their reviews are often more objective. I am very proud and happy to be a part of something bigger and very important, to be a Local Guide.
