Hi Everyone,
My name is Ates. I am from Turkey.
I was given the opportunity to become a local guide and I started sharing places, related pictures, information and did corrections of some old information on the map.
Now I am a 6th-degree local guide. I really don’t know if I deserve it but thanks to google for deeming me worthy.
I have two children. They are the most important part of my life and I spend much of my time with them. I also have a job and it takes a lot of my time too. So, I don’t have a lot of time to spare for local guide activities. I only can give information and details, when I receive emails from google maps by mail as well as by mobile app for the information request from the places I visited and taken pictures, if I have time. So, to tell the truth, I can not count myself as a very good local guide but I try to give a good and worthy information.
To me, being a local guide is a very important fact, if you look at it from the correct angle. As you can read from the title, it can save a life. Your given information can also save time, money and petrol. This helps the earth to save natural resources for the future.
So, being a true local guide is very important from my point of view.
I live in Istanbul and love where I live. I herewith share with you a picture of the Bosphorus.
Thanks for reading.
Best Wishes,
Ates
