Being a local guide: about caring and sharing [Joey/Friends feelings!] =)

It’s been a short time since I started being a local guide, but it’s something I do with pleasure and affection. I´ll try to explain one of the reasons.

Small businesses usually have low media reach, even in the neighborhood itself.

Although social media have innovated, a lot with regard to propaganda, research mechanisms usually do not organize places by region.

Having this in mind, this is one of the biggest reasons why I love adding them to the map, and making comments about them. See my list: Copacabana Like a Local

It’s a win-win relationship on all sides!

How?! Let´s see:

  1. the entrepreneur has his business disclosed;
  2. the user discovers a service or place, which already has an assessment made by someone else who already knows it;
  3. and last, but not least, the relationships and local economy are improved.

So let´s continue sharing and caring! :wink:

Hi @MeloHeloisaBr ,

I just wanted to let you know that I have removed the Portuguese (Brazilian) language tag of your post as it’s written in English. These types of labels are used so that posts in different languages can be found more easily by Local Guides who are speakers of these languages. You can learn more about language tags in the article: How do I find posts in my preferred language?.
