I really enjoy being a Google Guide. One of my favorites things is to answer questions for people. I remember starting out as a guide and the feeling of uncertainty as to whether I would be up to the task or taken seriously. I’m blown away by the interaction my reviews get and the amount of people that have viewed photos I’ve taken. When I see the interaction, it makes me all the more emboldened to continue to contribute and provide information and answers. I feel that answering questions is the most beneficial and rewarding as it is very direct and intentional interaction with a Google user. While it’s certainly fun posting pics and reviews, knowing that I helped someone directly carries the most satisfaction.
It’s taken me a while to get into the swing of being a guide, but as I become more and more engaged, my enjoyment of doing it only grows. I’m glad to be a part of this world-wide community. I honestly had no idea just how huge it is, but now knowing, it makes the experience all the better.
