Before you visit Barcelona, you need to go...

Could you ever be in Spain?

It doesn`t matter. Cause that story about the place that I visit before Barcelona and witch impress me more.

This is small-town Alicante in the South of the country.

I bought tickets from Kyiv to Alicante randomly. Only open google, search “Alicante” and think “Ok, try”.

The first impression then I came to the city at 8 p.m “Wooowww”. Lite breeze, sound of guitar, yellow light, old Spain architecture and of course a big mountain not far from the city center.

Day and night city are completely different. And I can tell you a lot about it, but I only describe one emotion.

I was at Spain for 7 days, that’s why I decide to go by train to Barcelona and spend 3 days there.

It is a nice city, but a have high expectations that did not come true about its spirit. Cause I saw a city with billion of tourists, the city with Europe spirit, a lot of shops, traffic, and and and.

But about emotion. Then I come back from Barcelona to Alicante, came out from the train station and think “Alicante, oy great Alicante, I come back home”. A spend only 4 days in that nice place, but I fill like “it is my home”, comfortable and 100% true Spain, with Spanish spirt and smells.

Try it before Barcelona, and I totally sure that you will appreciate it!

Hi @Rzqust

Thanks for sharing your cool post. I’ve been to Alicante before and I really need to go to Spain again and make a huge road trip to see Barcelona, Madrid and other cool cities.

What was your favorite thing about these cities? Was this your first time going to Spain? I really want to see the old towns and southern cities more.
