Before Google Maps

I was born (1975) in the megacity of São Paulo, State of São Paulo, Brazil. Since he was a child he manipulated maps. In the case of São Paulo, a mega map properly organized in a 400-page handbook.

There I learned to check the bus and subway lines, in addition to plotting walking routes, calculating travel times and alternatives.
The guide had no way of being and a pocket and it was not enough to carry, which made me take notes and memorize as much information as possible. Usually the map I imagined, almost a photographic memory.
Nowadays (2020), practical, accessible and free of charge, Google Maps makes it possible to instantly decide where to go and have in 1 second the route and transport options to carry it out. In addition, it is also possible to locate a product, service or tourist spot, observing the information and opinions.

I realize that local guides give precise opinions about places and thus, with a sum of tools, Google Maps allows a true connection of people with places and people with people.
