Beco do Batman (Batman’s Alley) is one of the many places to visit in São Paulo. The alley is located in Vila Madalena’s neighborhood, a part of the city know as one of it’s most alternative, young and stylish places.
If you use Google Maps to situate youself during trips, or ever used Local Guides to evaluate where to eat or where to go in SP, you may have seen lots of pictures of Batman’s Alley. But the point I’m writing this today is to invite you to explore a little more than the images of graffiti on the alley’s walls. At this alley and at this neighborhood you’ll find lot’s of places to eat, listen to music, drink a cold beer, buying sweets, taking your dog to a walk or even buy cheap clothes at a store that has umbrellas as a roof.
If you accept my invite, you’ll be able to taste a well cooked acarajé (a gastronomic specialty of African and Afro-Brazilian cuisines, most made at Bahia-BR) served to you by a true bahiana. You’ll also be able to listen to great street music, not necessarily brazilian, while you check a store full of organic/vegan sweets. And trust me when I say your animals are welcomed here, people will probably stop you to pet your dog, or help it with some water at hot days.
So feel free to come and check. And of course, take a picture and make a review of your experience at Beco do Batman!
