Ssup Folks… Yes! you read it right. Every place deserves a face. Remember the time when you first signed up on social media and wanted to grow your circle and wanted to get tagged in your friend’s post. But how did you manage to let others know that it’s you? By setting up a Profile Picture !!!
Images, Videos, these belong to a medium which is easy to interpret irrespective of your language, cultural background, education, etc. and hence serves as a great medium to share information about a place or convey your thoughts about how great and cheap deal you got in a restaurant nearby. In a diverse country like India, it becomes hard to share your experiences with everyone in their local languages. That’s why I like capturing moments and sharing with people using Google Maps which is a great platform in a place where over 450M people have access to the internet. For those who are using a smartphone for the first time or for those who are tech-savvy, pictures are the medium they spend the most time interacting with.
I always wanted to show the people around the world the face of a place which they haven’t seen before. So I started posting sharing Pictures & Videos along with other tools. Now I have uploaded over 700 of them and have over 285,610 views. Isn’t that crazzzyyy !
It always fascinates me the way people interact with my reviews, pictures, videos and the fact that I’m being helpful to someone in this world keeps me motivated to keep posting new content every time. Let me show you some faces which have become quite famous.
These are the famous chicken parathas which are specially made in a dhaba (Shimla Dhaba) near Vasai highway. It was my first visit there last year and my friend wanted to have this special dish so we ordered one. As being a famous cuisine I thought taking a picture of it and posted it on Google Maps and you guys won’t believe but it crossed 1,14,653 views in a few months. And here comes “SHEHENSHAH”… A majestic truck from West Bengal on his journey to explore the Indian culture. We came across this unique looking vehicle in Kasara Ghat. It was decorated with stuff that the guy (driver) found in different states. The truck was painted in bright colors to show its prosperity in terms of culture. The driver was very interesting and knew more than 15 languages. He also shared his anecdotes and some unusual experiences he got during his journey across India.
Here comes a great piece of architecture, which is nothing but a multi-screen theatre in Infosys Mysore campus. I got an opportunity to stay and explore this magnificent city during my training program. The major attraction was the campus itself. It’s a huge campus spread over more than 250 acres and have some architectural marvels which you guys must see if you get a chance.
As I like to trek and hike to different places I am always ready with my backpack to explore the great Sahyadri Mountain Range in Maharashtra. It always gives you a glimpse of the historical heritage of India’s culture and beauty of mother nature. This face is expressing the same thoughts; It is a place known for its unique attraction called Reverse Waterfall. It is a phenomenon which occurs when a huge blast of wind flows in the opposite direction of the water flowing from a waterfall eventually drifting the water upwards, that means its a waterfall upside down. This place is a huge C-shaped arc made by the unique structure of mountains which drives the wind in a way to make this phenomenon happen.Isn’t all this mesmerizing? That’s why I always try to make people feel the way I feel when I see these various faces of different parts of the world. And there still places which are yet to get this FACE and get an identity and it is always and will be my moto bring such places in front of the world to cherish this treasure !!!
