Today my friends and I went to the mall, as usual I took a “Becak” from one mall to another, because the distance only 300 meters, I prefer to ride “Becak” than motorbike because it’s pollution free and help pedicab driver to earn income:blush:
“Becak” means pedicab with three wheeled of tranportation commonly found in Indonesia and several country in Asia. It can bring one or two passengers and one driver.
Many people especially women uses this to carrying out their grocery from the market.
I was surprised when I read your post to learn that you took the Becak for just 300 metres but maybe because you had some shopping and as you said it helps the driver to earn income. One feature I love about Becaks and Rickshaws is how many, like the one in your photo, are beautifully decorated and how the owners/drivers take pride in maintaining them.
