Beauty of Kashmir - Episode 6 - Houseboat Stay at Dal Lake, Srinagar.

As I mentioned in my Beauty of Kashmir - Episode 5 - Evening Shikara Ride at Dal Lake, Srinagar post that the most highly tourist attraction in Srinagar after Shikara ride is Staying at Houseboat at Dal Lake. Experience the Beauty of Kashmir by staying on a houseboat at Dal Lake in Srinagar.

I stayed in NEW LIGHT Group of Houseboats. There is an association of Group of Houseboats which are operated by local people as their tourist business. The houseboats are typically wooden boats that are outfitted with luxurious amenities and facilities that make them perfect for a relaxing holiday.

Nestled in the Himalayan Mountains, this picturesque lake is a paradise for nature lovers. From the comfort of your houseboat, you can admire the beautiful views of the lake, mountains, and lush green forests. The houseboat is equipped with all the amenities you need for a comfortable stay. The houseboat also has a balcony that overlooks the lake, allowing you to take in the stunning views of the lake and its surroundings.

The houseboat is spacious and includes a living room, bedrooms, and a kitchen. The houseboat had many amenities like a TV, DVD player and a refrigerator. We also had a microwave and a stove in the kitchen. The living room had a view of the lake and we had a beautiful view of the lake while having dinner in the dining room. The bedroom was comfortable and spacious with a queen size bed.

The lake itself is a popular destination for sightseeing and photography, and houseboats are the perfect way to explore its beauty. The lake is surrounded by a number of ancient Mughal monuments, including the famous Shalimar Gardens, the iconic Dal Gate, and the famous Chashme Shahi Gardens.

Enjoy the beauty of the lake as you sail past the numerous houseboats and local markets. You can also take a guided tour of the lake to learn more about its history and culture.

The most exciting part of staying in the houseboat was going for a shikara ride in the evening which I have shared in my last episode. The view of the lake and the sunset was breath-taking. We also went for a guided tour of the lake and visited the floating vegetable markets, the floating gardens and a few local villages.

If you’re looking to relax and unwind, there are plenty of activities to enjoy. Take a leisurely stroll along the lake, or enjoy a picnic on the banks of the lake. You can also take part in water sports such as fishing and kayaking. At the end of the day, you can enjoy a delicious meal of authentic Kashmiri cuisine cooked by the houseboat’s chef. The houseboat also has a bar where you can enjoy a refreshing drink while admiring the views of the lake.

A stay on a houseboat at Dal Lake in Srinagar is the perfect way to experience the Beauty and Culture of Kashmir. You can admire the stunning views of the lake and its surroundings, explore the area on a shikara boat ride, and enjoy delicious Kashmiri cuisine.
