Hibiscus plants are known for their large, colorful flowers. These blossoms can make a decorative addition to a home or garden, but they also have medicinal uses. The flowers and leaves can be made into teas and liquid extracts that can help treat a variety of conditions.

Hibiscus flowers come in many colors. They can be red, yellow, white, or peach-colored, and can be as big as 6 inches wide. The most popular variety is Hibiscus sabdariffa. The red flowers of this variety are most commonly cultivated for medical purposes and are available as dietary supplements.

So here are some pictures of different colors of Hibiscus which are captured by me. Some are taken from my personal garden and some are from Ratnodweep Resort.

These photos are amazing, thanks for sharing!

I had hibiscus at home, but probably they didn’t like the climate here. I also love the taste of hibiscus tea. Have you tried it? Are these flowers in your garden? I didn’t know that they are for medical usage. My favorite from these photos is the second one.

Excellent photograph @Nigar_sultana .

The color of hibiscus is very difficult to capture with the mobile camera. I really had some hard times to capture them. But you did an excellent job to take those photos.

Dear @Petra_M Among all pictures1-3 and the 2nd from last are from my home garden. Bangladesh’s climate is very good for Hibiscus. One of my hobbies is to collect different types and colors of Hibiscus. In Dhaka every year in July a fair of plants called “Jatio brikkho mela” occurred. In this fair, lots of types and colors of hibiscus are sold. Every year I go there and buy at least 1 type. So I am inviting you to visit the fair to enjoy the beauty of Hibiscus as well as other plants.

And yes hibiscus has lots of things to do with our health. In lots of countries, it is used for skin care.

Thanks for the reply @Nigar_sultana , sounds super interesting. India has definitely better climate for hibiscus, and they are wonderful. Do they make a serum or cream of it?

Yes India has. But I live in a neighbor country of India which is Bangladesh. In my country Bangladesh, now many people are planting hibiscus flowers. Someone I know who has around 150 different types of Hibiscus plants. You are cordially invited to see those beauties.
