Like every year, this year too we are continuing our school-based tree plantation program. This year’s theme is:
Beautify the country with tree plantation, Bangladesh first.
With this visionary and patriotic theme, a fruitful tree plantation program was recently completed at Sankivhanga Government Primary School. This initiative was taken in the school premises to combat the harmful effects of climate change and build a green and safe world for future generations.
With the spontaneous participation of the school teachers, students and local guardians, the entire school premises took on a festive atmosphere. Saplings of various species of fruit, forest and medicinal trees were planted under the program. The most positive aspect of this initiative was the active participation of the students. This event has played a great role in making the young students aware of the environment and understanding the importance of planting trees. To make the concept of ‘Green School’ a reality, every The students are given the responsibility of taking care of the planted trees, which will instill responsibility in them.
Not just limited to slogans, the practical reflection of this theme in grassroots primary schools will help ensure a sustainable environment in the country. This exemplary initiative of Sankivhanga Government Primary School will also serve as an inspiration for other educational institutions
