Beautiful Wind farm in Israel

Beautiful place!
The Golan Heights wind farm
It is located on Mount Bnei Rasan on the way between Alonei Habashan and Ein Zivan.
This big wind farm is the first one in Israel and was built in 1992 after a 7 year trial with one small turbine a few kilometers further south on mount Bnei Tzfat. The turbines are 30 meters tall and each wing length is 18 meters long. You will find 10 turbines in the farm and there is a nice trail to walk and enjoy the view from this beautiful place.

There are not many find farms in Israel (more into solar energy here) and this special place was chosen after a long examination of a few spots in Israel.
Today with better technology you can find a few wind farms in Israel that where built later.

Hope you like it :slightly_smiling_face:

*Hello @JoniG *

How big is the share of renewable energies in Israel?

Hey @novum_ideas ,

Good question. As much as I know Israel is leading in solar energy percentage (8.7) but in total of renewable energy we are far behind with less than 10% and it is hard to practice on a small land like Israel. The government is trying to change the situation and reach 50% by 2030.

I hope it will happen even sooner
