Thank you for posting a panoramic view of the sky at Ponmudi.
The colors at the horizon look mesmerizingly-beautiful and I especially like the blue hues.

Congratulations on posting your first article after a long time @Nowfal and a welcome back to the wonderful world of LG Connect :pray:

Additionally, I would also suggest changing the setting to display the picture in a larger size - that would look awesome.

Hello @Nowfal

Welcome to connect and congratulations on your first post here.

Can you tell something more about the place? Where is it exactly? What’s How to reach there?

More importantly, can you tell something about you?
You can include that in this ongoing post.

@TusharSuradkar

I appreciate your efforts to guide everyone to include bigger size pictures.

However, of late I realised most of the users view the posts on the phone.

Landscapes appear cropped. All the vivid colours vanish in low resolution and more so.

That makes all the efforts futile.

Further, the 3 MB limit becomes troublesome to many and to attain that the picture quality deteriorates. How can we help to overcome all these?

@C_T

The issue of people viewing posts on the phone is addressed in the article by @TravellerG that is linked from within my article.

The underlying idea behind displaying pictures larger is to only change the setting to ‘display’ it in a larger size and not uploading a larger size picture.

I have observed that many users post a picture that is large enough to be displayed in a larger size but the setting remains as small or medium when uploading using the phone.

I am suggesting changing the setting so that the picture appears in the biggest possible size.

Hope this clarifies my objective to write the article.

For example, the picture in this article is already of larger size and can be enlarged by clicking on it.

So it is possible to display it bigger by default.

Hi @Nowfal ,

first of all welcome on Connect, the official Local Guides forum!

Beautiful shot, thank you for sharing it, it gives a very nice freedom impression. Do you live close by? Or is it a place where you often go? Would you tell us something more about this location, it seems to be a natural area from the picture.

Since you are new here on Connect please have a read to Your guide to Connect to make yourself comfortable and understand how to best use Connect. @C_T , @TusharSuradkar thank you very much for the great suggestions to insert bigger photos, there is no special method or special steps to take during uploading, browser settings, browser mode or similar. The photo is embedded based on the display size specified in the photo upload setting like Tushar described, that setting contains also the alignment, in fact this photo is a pure mobile photo at very high resolution (3072x4020), so correctly uploaded but just displaying smaller and left aligned. If the photo should be above the limit of 3Mb a simple resize is enough to make it smaller, the size is more enough to guarantee a good photo resolution. Please note that we have also a base article about that: Uploading a photo on Connect: Read these guidelines first.
