I took this photograph during my adventurous trip to Gurudongmar lake located at an altitude of 17,800 ft. This was during the month of November when the snow season just started. The weather was very cold and the wind was stronger. The entry to this part of Sikkim region is free for Indians whereas foreigners holding visas still require special entry permit from Ministry of Home Affairs.

@MoniDi Thanks for the message, This was my first visit to this beautiful valley.
Their is one interesting fact regarding the lake which passes from this valley, The water in the lake never freezes even @-20 degrees Celsius. The locals also beleives that the water in lake have some magical power related to healing the body. As the valley is located at higher altitude with poor infrastructure of roadways, it is usually difficult for majority of tourists to reach this valley. Frequent landslides and very low levels of oxygens are the main concerns related to this place. Even the wind speeds can reach more than 25 km/hr during the daytime which is why the Indian army does not allow the tourist to stay after 1:00 pm, there have been incidents reported where the rocks started flying because of the stronger winds. The best time to visit this paradise place is September-November and in the month of May. Please feel free to comment if you need any further information related to this place.

Thank you for the detailed reply! I thought that May would be a good month to visit because I tend to escape the hot weather in the city and climb up the mountain at around that time.
