On the 8th of February, I was part of the media team for a trail running (other countries might know this as cross-country) series.
And I just realised how beautiful our country is. South Africa. We have so many different cultures, ecosystems and yes, we do have 11 languages.
This was the first trail event of this series for the year and the next one will be in Clocolan, Free State Province. Over the next few months I will be documenting the difference in our landscapes, areas and untouched trails.
I grew up in the Free State. And it’s amazing how most of this province hasn’t been well documented or shown that much. Definitely not as popular as Cape Town (situated in the Western Cape).
In the Free State, the popular language is Sesotho and Afrikaans. Followed by, Setswana and isiZulu.
Tweespruit is very closely located to Lesotho (which is another country) - which has stunning mountains and breathtaking views.
For my next few posts I will be showcasing our beautiful province.
Spoiler Alert: rock paintings!
