Beautiful Brussels
Grand Place
1000 Brussels, Belgium
August 10, 2019 @ 13:00 (CEST)
Did you know that Brussels is not only the Belgian capital, but also the European capital? Brussels’ name derives from the Old Dutch Broekzele, meaning “marsh” (broek) and “home” (zele) or “home in the marsh”. Curious how this “home in the march” became such a diverse city? If you want to discover this lovely capital, with a Local Guide who lived here during his entire life, then you are in the right place. I would love to shed some light on my lovely city, and show you what’s not in the usual travel books We’ll walk from the famous Manneken Pis to Brussels’ wonderful Royal Palace – but you’ll probably want to stay in lovely Mont des Arts forever, since it’s such a cool place
Let’s meet around 1.00 PM at the Grand Place. The end of the tour will be around 7.00 PM, I guess. We can expect a pretty sunny Saturday afternoon in August, so I am assuming that by the time our visit ends, we could continue the tour at some cool terrasses, for those who want to join… Here is the schedule: - Grand Place - Manneken & Jeanneke Pis - Royal Gallery of Saint Hubert - Mont des Arts - St Gudula Cathedral, Brussels - Brussels Park - Royal Palace of Brussels The meet-up will be entirely free, i.e., all the places we are visiting are free to entry. Let us share our unique perspective through a new and unique lens – creativity is bae. Let us stay curious about a city that continually has something new to show
Have a great day – I’m already looking forward to meeting you!
