My name is Devi, I am from Jakarta, Indonesia.
I have been active in Jakarta Local Guides, and also in Indonesia Local Guides. They call me Mom Dev. I have many friends from other cities and also from other countries. But the most interesting thing I ever done as Local Guides, was organizing meetup for my friends.
Sometimes, I was too excited to organizing meet up in my area. As a mom, I like to prepare nice meetup, maybe I similarize meet up with Party. I tried to made everybody happy.
Once, I had meet up in the Park, the theme is photowalk, but you know? I set the meetup just like a PICNIC in Evening.
I brought pinic mat, food, drinks, utensils, and tissues and also some chocolates. I didnt know why I did that.
End up with lots of Food and Laugh!

The second one, when I held another photowalk meetup, this time, I researched and tried the transportation before I invited friends to my meetup. It was a long ride, although the location is beside Jakarta. I arranged schedule with the tour guide in that area, so they could help me to explain the history.
So, when I announced the meetup, there were new members of Jakarta Local Guides eager to join. The place so interesting to visit. Even Jakartans don’t go here much.
Also, I prepared for souvenirs for quizz and some chocolates home made by me.

But the most funny and intruiging moments, when I organized Jakarta Scavenger Hunt Meet Up. Google Indonesia contacted Jakarta Local Guides, and they asked me to help organize the meet up.
I am not Googler! I just help them to make some quizz, cause Google only provide 20 attendees, so I had to selected the attendees.
Google Indonesia, sent mistery boxes to me and other Host. The box was filled with gifts for Jakarta Local Guides.
The truth was, I have already known what inside, but I made this video, and all of my friends, even from other countries were curious about the gift. HAHAHA…
It’s like arranging a SURPRISE PARTY for my fellow local guides.

I Think I will continue to make Fun and Cute Meet Up, I like to see my friends’s smile, they are happy, so do I.
