Bay Area Hiking Series: Russian Ridge Preserve: Ridge Trail

Russian Ridge Preserve Ridge Trail.gifAnimated Collage of various shots from the hike.

I will introduce San Francisco Bay area Hiking Trails, through these series of posts. This is second post of this series.

All pictures in this post are shot with Pixel 3.

Russian Ridge Preserve is also located in Los Altos, Palo Alto, CA area. This open space preserve is around 3147 acres and has 10.4 miles of trails.

Ridge Trail is a great place to hike close to sunset, some days you can experience low fog which gets collected in the valley, sun set over that is spectacular. Interestingly I saw someone has left a chair on the trail to sit and watch sunset!

There are couple of parking lots near this preserve, one at the intersection of Alpine Rd and Hwy 35 and Silicon Valley Vista point on Hwy 35. At this vista point you can enjoy the view of entire silicon valley. Here is the map of the trails and also highlighted the trail we took. Since we started little late, we ended up doing a short hike but spent time enjoying the sun set colors.

Here are few pictures from the hike!
