This loop shown below is combination of Old Homestead Loop and Contra Loma Trail. this loop is around 3.5 Miles Long. We did the hike during the evening so that we could watch sunset colors in the sky.
Map of the Trail
Here is the shot of the Old Homestead Loop Trail head from the Parking lot. We were just entering the golden hour when we started the hike.
Spring is here, we could see leaves coming back on these trees.
More sign of spring, more wild flowers, specially those orange California Poppies on the hill.
We have not had much rain in Northern California in last 50 days. You can see the effect of that on the trail! As we wee climbing the hills, we could see some sun set colors in the sky.
You can see cows grazing in the valley.
You can see some fellow hikers and also Antioch Bridge from a distance from the top of the hill.
Few more trees on the trail.
Fellow Hiker, walking the dog on the trail, with sun set colors in the sky.
Lone Tree, I think this is an interesting shot!
More wildflowers adding beauty to the sunset colors!
One more shot of the lone tree!
There are so many trails to explore in Black Diamond Regional Preserve, in fact around 65 Miles of Trails. More to come in my future posts!
