Batik art

Batik is one of the Indonesian traditional arts, it is a painting on canvas,
We draw using a mixture of beeswax and paraffin wax, and we use wax lines on the fabric using a curved needle and a small metal cup is connected to it and the cup is connected to a wooden handle, and after drawing with wax we color and let it dry, and then we paint it with a layer of transparent polish and then let it dry And then we doused it in water and let it dry in the open air and thus we have batik
Batik is used in clothing, bedspreads, pillow covers, shawls and sarong
Batik drawings are different, as each region in Indonesia uses drawings that go beyond the heritage and their environment
Do not forget to own a batik when you go to Indonesia

I like also batik ihave alot batik in Egypt

Hello @mohamedsaied thanks for the tutorial on making a batik. The patterns were intricately made for certain. It will take some time and really concentration before the drawings could be perfected. We have something similar in West Africa . I don’t know wether the West Africa batik was brought from Indonesia. The Indonesia pattern is unique going by pictures . If I have chance of visiting Indonesia , I will certainly buy one.

My Fine Arts teacher taught this in high school @mohamedsaied

I like how you said; each region’s batik differs as they all try to show their heritage.
