Mural on Bath St. Dunedin City.

Very interesting, @malcolmschwantler .

What’s the story with this mural?

The representation of art or representation in general does not require a linguistic text or artist or reproducer for a viewer to make meaning. Representations are themselves there own text, already endowed with ideology and cultural meanings.

That’s on the side of thevery popular Laneway cafe. We had an amazing breakfast there @malcolmschwantler . After that breakfast we visited St Paul’s and then did a tour of the historic Cadbury chocolate factory which I think is now closed :frowning:

I haven’t been to the Laneway Cafe, but I will go one day. Yes, Cadbury’s Factory is now closed.

You must @malcolmschwantler and I know that you will really enjoy it! I wonder why the Cadburys factory closed? OK it was old, 150 years, but still it produced amazing chocolate. The tour was fantastic and we bought as much chocolate as was humanly possible to carry!

Short answer. Globalized Neoliberal capitalism. i.e it just wasn’t profitable.
