Hello, my friends!
Stopped by to drop this dime! A picture I took at trhe very beginning of the year while visiting the historic center of Lima. This is the look of Basilica and convent of San Francisco de Lima, one of the most important churches in Peru
It has a baroque architecture and was built in 1535 in times of the Spanish conquest.
Inside there is a neoclassical style, admission is free but there is also an impressive museum and catacombs that are costly but affordable.
I hope you like this picture!
Best wishes,
Marco … from Peru!

Hello @marcorp ,
Thank you for sharing this amazing photos with us, the basilica is really impressive!
I love such old heavy architecture and wherever I go, I look for such old buildings.
In Peru, is it possible to take photos inside such buildings? In Bulgaria, where I live, usually it’s forbidden! One is allowed to take photos inside churches and cathedrals after buying a specific ticket.

@BorrisS hello my friend! Yes, of course, you can take lots of pictures within the church but NOT inside the museum… still it is totally worth it… an amazing place for sure!
