Basaltic Prisms, Huasca de Ocampo, Mexico

Hello there,

In this post, I am going to talk about a wonderful place in Hidalgo,Mexico, its a mytical place and also one of the eleven most beautiful basaltic prisms.

This prisms are known for the waterfall that flows through them. Towering 98 feet above the water below, the rocks have been uniquely shaped by the waterfall, appearing more like lumpy steps beneath the water.

When you come to this place as a visitor you will find that there another touristic places around, like some Haciendas and a big lake in the middle of them, you probably need more than a day to explore and check this places, Santa Maria Regla and San Miguel Regla both were an important places for the mining in Mexico, both of the Haciendas are now Hotels, so you can have a marvelous experience staying here for a few days.

This places are located in the middle of the mountains so its a nice and quite place, the prisms are a protected natural reserve were you can have a great time with you family, there are some soccer fields, some tiny restaurants where you can eat and drink some beer, also you can buy some toys, key chains and some garden elfs.

This place can not be accesible for everyone, because if you want to explore and see everything there, there is no place for wheelchairs or maube it coulb be a little rough for elderly people.
