Barns and their look.

There is a solemn look to this barn today.

On occasion I ride by this barn and have seen many looks and felt different emotions as I suspect the weather at the time had a great influence on me.

Today I look at the six pane double hung windows and can only imagine how the broken windows became to be and how the ones in place stood the test of time.

They say windows are the entry into the soul of a building and the eyes that look out into the surroundings.

What do you think? What emotion does this picture spark in you?

As you see high up top of the barn, the Coppola has the Eagle weathervane. Able to provide a grand 360 degree view of the sky and terrain for miles, still the coppola has seen better days.

Many barns still stand in my area, Connecticut, USA. Attached is a link that indicates where the barns are located within my state. Some have been designated historical and as you’ll see come in all shapes and sizes.

I thought I would share this photo because as we go about our business and pass by places such as these you may be inspired to snap a picture.

@JBknyc That barn is useful and beautyful. It has been made to have long wide 360 degrees views. It has been made to be seen in the top of the house.I think that your devotion for barns is understandable and justified.

That is really nice, dear fellow LG @JBknyc ,

We can understand your feelings…

Thanks for sharing this.

Well…

“… What emotion does this picture spark in you?..”

Truly MIXED feelings…

When the barn was under the busy time and today another liability for the owner!

Sad…
