#Bapu Museum [1/3]

This Post is about the Idols of Hindu Gods/Goddesses, idols of Buddha, pillars and writings which are present in Bapu Museum in Vijayawada, Andhra pradesh, India.

Q) What is the Previous/Former name of the Museum ?

The former name of Museum was Victoria Jubilee Museum.

Q) What all are the objects available in the Museum?

The museum has historical galleries, pillars, stone cut writings, coins, swords, body armour, shields, arms, ornamentation used by kings, all major Hindu Gods idols, Ancient life style, paintings, standing Buddha and more**.**

Hinduism:

Here, many Hindu Gods and idols belonging to 11 to 18th centuries are separately displayed in a garden and Inside of the new building

The idols of major Gods in Hindu religion like Shiva, Vishnu, Devi, Brahma, Rama, Hanuman, Durga matha, Venkateswara are seen here…

Q) How much time do you need to see the whole Museum.?

Totally 3 Hours, half an hour for the outside for the idols and Pillars, 15 minutes for Stone constructed building and 2 hours and 15 minutes for Newly constructed Building.

Buddhism:

Here contains so many idols of Buddha, life history of Buddha, Buddha paintings, Buddha metal idols belonging to the 18th century

Pillars and Writings:

Here contains so many pillars belonging to 2 - 3rd century, still they are present.

These pillars and writings on pillars some are placed outside means Garden and some milestones are placed in buildings.

On the pillars have different languages and some informative messages with help of pictures and idols

Description: One day me and my friend went to Bapu Museum. In the entry only we were excited because the museum was constructed with stones, land covered with Garden, some Historical Idols, paintings, Cannons… For entry we paid Rs.50/- (INR) per head at 2.00PM (IST).

Firstly we covered idols were placed on garden, old Building (Constructed with stones) here Life story of Gandhi and Large size of painting (Permission not given for photo Shoot) and then next New building, here have Ancient, buddha, Coins, making of Dress, different countries coins and so on.

Accessibility for All

Wheelchair accessibility at entrance = Yes

Wheelchair accessibility for Parking = Yes (Have large Space)

Wheelchair accessibility with one floor to another = Yes (Have elevator)

Wheelchair accessibility at Toilet = Yes
