So a friend got banned (very briefly) from Google Maps (by mistake) and then immediately reinstated. But he is in a catch22 as he can’t message anyone here to be reinstated. Any ideas where he can send details to be reinstated? He is almost level 10 and a very old and loyal Maps contributor.
All ideas welcome. Preferably actionable ones and specific please.
He has of course sent to that form, that is how he immediately got reinstated to Google Maps. But from the same form they seem to have no control over Local Guides membership.
Using the appeals form is what needs to be done.
Next you need to sign up for the Local Guides Program again. The whole process can take a few days.

He did the appeals thing three times, no joy. Can’t resubmit to get on the Local Guides Program as it doesn’t let him do anything.
I guess you know that it is not okay to create an extra account on Connect to make posts here.
I thought you said that the outcome of the appeals form was positive, right?
And the only remaining problem was getting reinstated here on Connect, right?
Did you sign up again to the Local Guides Program as described in my tutorial?
If so, when did you do that? Or were you unable to sign up again?
I have seen a few cases where bad behavior on Connect made it impossible to be reinstated, is that case you would have been informed via email. Is this the case?
