Bank of Baroda listing marked permanently closed, then reopened despite incorrect location
Around 16–17 days ago, I personally visited the exact location shown for Bank of Baroda on Google Maps. The pin is in a residential area, and I found no Bank of Baroda branch, ATM, office, signboard, or other facility there.
I reported the listing as “Permanently closed,” and Google accepted the report. The listing remained closed until recently.
However, after the owner posted an education-loan promotional update about 6 days ago, the listing is now showing as Open again. The update is promotional and does not show the actual location or provide a different address. The physical location of the pin has not changed.
I also left a 1-star review to document the Maps issue. The owner’s response was a generic customer-service apology with Bank of Baroda’s helpline numbers, but it did not address the incorrect location. Since my review was about the Google Maps listing not banking service, I am including the response as additional context.
Current situation
Pin is still at a residential location
No Bank of Baroda facility or signage found there
Previous “Permanently closed” report was accepted
Listing is now showing Open
Recent owner update is only a promotional post
Owner response does not address the Maps-location issue
I am sharing this to document the issue and understand how a listing that was previously accepted as permanently closed can become active again without the underlying location problem being resolved.
I have not uploaded photos because the pinned location appears to be a private residential property.
