Bamboo trees in tropical forests. It’s found abundantly in Wayanad Forest in Kerala/ Western Ghats. The Bamboo tree in it’s life span blooms once in 40- 60 years and the rice is harvested. The rice is rich in Carbohydrates, Fiber and Protein. It’s medicinal properties are high and used to cure Diabetes, Blood Pressure, Rheumatism also in sexual disorders.

I have never tried bamboo rice, moreover I’ve never heared about it. Unfortunately, I dont’t think I can find it anywhere in Europe. If I visit India, I’m going to try it.
