The place where you live has hidden treasures where most of the time only local people know. Some of them have been known already, thanks to the internet and social media leveling the field of advertising and information.
The place where I am staying is the place where my wife lived. I been here for more than two years only but already know a lot because of our local friends. They know what places to go, what products to buy and where to buy them. They also know what to avoid.
I was married here in Baliuag but believe it or not, the placed where we got married is one of the treasure of the place but I didn’t know it then. It was only after almost seven years when we move back to this placed that I realized this is a good place to eat and dine. The place I’m talking about is the most viewed in all of my Google reviews. Here is the picture I’ve taken from my mobile phone two years ago.
This is one of my favorite place because food here are really great tasting for me and they are cheap. They serve Filipino cuisine and if your interested in Filipino cuisine you can try lunch and dinner here. I went here everyday when my kid is at school and I am satisfied every time.
Another one local products that I like in our area is the Kalahi Pastillas. I believe they are selling a competitive product and they been here since 1950 according to them. They are producing other products but Pastillas is the one that I like the most. If your wondering what Pastillas is, this is what Wikipedia have to say about it.
"Pastillas, also known as Pastillas de Leche or Pastiyema is a milk-based confectionery with origins in the town of San Miguel in Bulacan, Philippines. From San Miguel, pastillas-making spread to other Philippine regions such as the provinces of Cagayan and Masbate.[1]
Initially, pastillas de leche were primarily home-made by carabao-rearing farmers. A small-scale industry on the food product soon grew, with the pastillas made from either carabao or cow milk or both. Refined sugar and calamondin juice are also added during the pastillas-making process.[1]
In San Miguel, Bulacan, a Pastillas Festival has been celebrated every May since 2006. The paper-cut form of the pabalat is also linked to the festival, involving making elaborate paper-cut designs using these wrappers."
I hope you you’ve got a little bit of idea of the product I’m talking about but here is a picture from their Facebook page.
This is what is inside of that box.
This is what I love about adding a small business in Google map. This people are making really good world class product and I think they should be put on the map.
