Baldev Ji Temple is a unique place of worship located in Panna, Madhya Pradesh, dedicated to Baldau Ji, the elder brother of Krishna Ji.
The architecture of this temple is a wonderful blend of French, Roman and European architectural style. Its construction was started in 1933 by Maharaja Rudra Pratap Singh and completed in 1936.
It was designed by a Panna State Roman architect Metley and was completed under his supervision. The main sanctum sanctorum houses a stone idol of Baldev Ji, a grand hall with an ornate ceiling supported by cylindrical pillars. Octagonal minarates capped with beautiful canopy running from the ground and above the roof and central roof is adorned with ornamented dome. Windows are decorated with arched mouldings. There are many features which makes it unique.
The excellent workmanship and completely western architectural style of this temple make this temple unique and an excellent example of craftsmanship. This is a very popular tourist attraction and peaceful centre of faith. It’s visited by all sects and all classes of people.
