Balabalagan is a collection of islands located in the middle of the Makassar Strait. Can be traveled from Balikpapan for 9 hours by sea using a wooden boat.
The island has beautiful scenery both on the seabed and above it with white and soft stretches of sand.
My wife and I and my 1.5-year-old child feel fortunate to be able to visit the island because there is no transportation there. If it’s not mistaken, it will only open 2 times a year, June and November. According to our tour guide, because it was adapted to the sea wave conditions in the Makassar Strait.
