Hi there,

Question about how to become a SV trusted photographer.

1) Can I use my own phone ( Iphone XS Max )?
2) I posted 12 photos 24 hours ago, it shows the numbers of photos and approved by maps on the very bottom of the frame, but it doesn’t count as “Google Maps approved photos” on STATUS!
3) How long it takes to get the email after 50 qualified photos.

I think, that’s it.

Waiting from @ConnorP , I can anticipate some answer:

Yo can use every phone with a gyroscope, by installing the Street View App, or connecting your phone with a 360 camera. Please read:

make sure that the pictures are:

  • At least 7.5MP (4K) with a 2:1 aspect ratio
  • No more than 75 megabytes in size

Normally the photos appear as Approved on your statistic after 24 - 36 hours

The email will be sent pretty quickly. BTW, as Street View Program is the program is actually under revamping, at the moment you will not be able to be added on the For Hire index

@ErmesT Thank you for taking your time to reply my post.

I thought was 14MP the minimum requirement, but that will be very hard for everybody help with it, once the Iphone XS is 12MP, only probably the Iphone 11 has the 14MP camera. Basically most smartphones doesn’t have that many capacity to take those pictures… but anyways.

I don’t understand what “revamping” that means, is it a company? They still giving the badge?

I bought a 360 camera gopro fusion, but still on the way and with all coronavirus thing, i don’t know if will be delayed the delivery. Once is arrived I can take the picture from the camera (gopro), save on my phone and post, right?

Hi @RenanRocha

Under revamping means that we will have probably some change on the SVTP program (no news at the moment).

What we actually know is that the new SVTP will not be able, in this moment, to be added on the For Hire list

Hi @RenanRocha ,

As @ErmesT mentioned, the Local Guides Trusted program is currently going under a program revamp. While you may get an email of Trusted status approval, you will not be able to be added to the for-hire list at this time. Please keep your eye on the Street View New forum located here for updates moving forward.

Actually you cannot access to the news area through the link shared to @ConnorP 's reply. To be able to access to the forum you need:

  • To become a Street View Trusted Photographer, with your badge on your profile on the street view App
  • To receive your SVTP here in Connect too

So don’t worry if you are not able to reach the forum now. This is absolutely normal

@ConnorP Thank you for your reply, that’s fine if I don’t appear on “for hire list” but at least we have the badge? So that I can show for the clients, just to build more credibility while I offer the virtual tour service.

i received link in email i filled trusted forms and i don’t receive any email . I’m not showing in trusted pro list in South Korea . basically I’m from Pakistan I’m not showing anywhere , can anyone help in this problem???

In the community we don’t “collect” badges. Badges are simply the acknowledgement of our activity.

To have a Street View badge on your profile you should be a Street View Trusted Photographer. Please read more about Google Street View in here: https://www.google.com/streetview/

@ErmesT - I have my SV badge in-app and can’t access the forum. How long does it take after being accepted into the program to gain access to the private SVTP forum?

Thanks for contacting us!

We have had many reports from users that don’t have the trusted badge on the Local Guides community and are not able to access the SV discussion board.

We already reported that to our engineers, and they are working on it but unfortunately this resolution it’s taking some time already.

I will add you to the list of users that face this issue and will ask for updates on the topic.

I really hope it will be solved soon for you and for all the users that are in the same situation.
