Avicena

Avicena is a famous philosopher, scientist and physician whose tomb is located in the city of Hamedan in Bou-Ali Sina Square.

The view of the tomb is a combination of two architectural styles of ancient Iran and Iran after Islam. to design this tomb, elements of traditional Iranian art is used. Elements such as towers, inspired by Gonbad-E Kavus tower, gardens adapted from Iranian gardens, fountains inspired by traditional and expansive houses with rough grass rocks that are adorned with Alvand mountain granite stones.

How does Boualisi Sina’s tomb have 12 columns and what make it special?

According to Sihon, 10 columns of the porch are the signs of 10 centuries after Avicena and 12 columns of the tower are the symbols of the twelve fields of study that Avicena was expert in them.
