Aviation is my passion ✈️

I remember, in my childhood with my friends used to play trying chase planes that makes long white line in the blue sky and we were shouting “Samolet meni ala ket” which means “Plane take me with you”. As a child I had no idea from where planes takes off and where it lands. I think that time my passion to planes, aviation started.

I flew for the first time in 2015 on Boeing 737-800, that was domestic flight in Kyrgyzstan.

I booked window-seat in order to enjoy view and observe land from above, cloud surfing etc.

Caption: moment of my first flight, I felt kind of dizzy for a few second when planes took off.

And Finally last year I had a chance to get control over real aircraft Piper Archer 2 in Qatar. That was amazing, unforgettable experience

Also I love plane spotting, during my free times I go to airport where planes takes off and land, find some nice place with view to runway and snap some best moments of iron birds.

check out my photos that was taken by me from Hamad international airport in Qatar. I posted to local connect last year please press this to see photos

When I flew to Qatar from Kyrgyzstan where no direct flight, I always chose Turkey’s Atatürk airport in Istanbul with enough time of layover and went out to enjoy of observing takes offs and lands of planes while waiting my next flight.

Before flying on aircrafts I have been playing flight simulators a lot like X-plane simulator

Below I share with video of my demonstration of flying Boeing 737-800 in X-Plane flight simulator.

Not sure did I do it step by step as required, but anyway it’s flew. X-Plane simulator based on copy of real Boeing cockpit with exact function of buttons.

Have you ever seen aircraft where it lands during heavy hazy weather condition with low or 0 visibility?

In such conditions of weather pilots uses ILS (instrument landing system) they set it according to airport data where they gonna land and plane finds runway and lands safely by itself.

As I shown in video below recorded by me in flight simulator:

My favorite aircraft from Airbus - Airbus A350 XWB

From Boeing - Boeing 787 dreamliner and Boeing 777

Would like to share with me

What’s your favorite aircraft?

When did you fly for the first time and how was that?

Please share your experience by leaving a comments in below.

Thank you for reading my post, Peace!

@IlyazBeck Nice post about aviation! I work at ATC Tower, so I watch airplanes almost every day and my favorite one is B747 :slightly_smiling_face: and also small, acrobatic planes-what they are capable of is amazing  One of the breathtaking view was Ruslan landing (An124) , while I was underneath it.

Wow @IlyazBeck @AniaKiser

Nice to find Local Guides who love aviation like me

My favorite airplanes are both giants of giants  Aribus A380 and Boeing 747 and also the new low-emmision airplanes like A320 neo.

I also like helicopters and rotorcrafts those are making future commuting. In my opinion helping to have an accurate public map like Google Maps, will help this kind of futuristic commuting, too, and this is where Local Guides can be effective even in the aviation industry. Although even right now, plane tracking websites, are using Google Maps :slightly_smiling_face:

Hi @AniaKiser that’s awesome Boeing 747 also known as “Queen of the sky”

AN 124 landing is really breathtaking it felt thru screen, Haha.

If AN 124 lands this way I can’t imaging AN225, especially if you stay underneath it.

Hi @Amiran

Giants are the best, when I see them I look at them till they disappears in the sky, lol.

From new latest aircraft I like A220 as well, it’s pretty cool, high economy efficient and it makes less noise.

And it’s true that tracking apps uses Google map, for example well known “Flight Radar 24”.

Wonderful post @IlyazBeck

It is really amazing to read about your journey from flying as a passenger to a pilot.

I took my first flight as a passenger from Pune to Delhi in 2003 for my first job outside Pune.

It was probably a Boeing 777 though I don’t remember quite well.

Later I got a chance to visit several customers of the company that I worked for and one of them was an aviation training college where I got to occupy a seat in the cockpit of a biplane that was very congested. The aircraft was of course stationary and grounded and that was my first experience.

Later during one of the flights, I also got a chance to briefly step into the cockpit of a Boeing 777 when it was waiting for a flight change in Mumbai to take a look at the myriad of controls of a real aircraft.

Is it true that a pilot can actually leave the controls and go to sleep in auto-pilot mode?

Can you tell a layman the sequence of how a large aircraft get started from zero to flying

Hi @TusharSuradkar thank you for sharing your nice experience with Boeing triple seven.

Regarding your question, Pilots cannot sleep while flying. Yes, there is autopilot which makes control more easy but someone have to observe it, even pilots eats two different meals in order to avoid intoxication. All safety measure was taken.

For example B777 (and other huge aircrafts) flies under control of two pilot.

  1. PM - Pilot monitoring which monitors all details in the cockpit, check lists, contacts with Air traffic controllers.

  2. PF - Pilot Flying which performs takes off and landings and responsible for control.

and if flight duration is over 8 hours there will be another +2 pilot, total 4. They will change shifts in the sky and hand over duty to another crew.

Sequence of starting an aircraft it’s almost easy if you learn and follow up all check list, so I bought Boeing 737-800 in this game that you can press buttons etc, rest of planes it was without such function. That’s mobile game.

If in PC that would be much better with more wide option of aircrafts.
