Autumn in Indonesia? Is it real that there is autumn in this country that has two climates?
If you see the pictures and place above, actually it is a dried season. Located in Bantul, Special Region of Yogyakarta, this place is called Gumuk Pasir (Sand Dune) which in dried season. With that kind of view, it feels like we are walking in an autumn day, doesn’t it?
To reach Gumuk Pasir and take picture here, we need an effort to “climb” the sand dune that is so thick, deep, and high. When “climbing” the sand dune, there will be a lot of sand sneak into our shoes. However, I highly suggest you to wear comfortable shoes because if you walk in bare foot or only wearing slipper, your foot will get so hot.
This sand dune originally comes as the result of Volcano Mountain eruption where the sediment was carried by the rivers that were disembogued on the South Coast. After settling on the beach, then the wind from Indian Ocean carves a pile of sand. Therefore, this unique landscape could be formed.
