John Grindrod’s delightful book on the rebuilding of postwar Britain entitled Concretopia bought at the Barbican shop enriched my journey in Austria.
Memorable places are Obertraun, Hallstatt and Salzburg.
The lunch at the Hallstatt WeiBes Lamm Inn include soup and lamb.
My family enjoyed taking photograghs when the train was approaching Obertraun. We were captivated by the snow-covered ground against a background of snow-capped mountain.
It was snowing at Salzburg airport on our way back to London.
