Australian Gold Rush and Mothers Day

Three Mother’s Day 1976 celebrations at the Chintin Grange, just 46 km from Melbourne. On July 7, 1851 while prospecting along Lewis Pond Creek near Bathurst in New South Wales, Australia, James and William Tom discovered about four ounces of gold. This started the Australian gold rush. After the gold rush they bought about 5000 acres in Victoria to graze sheep and cattle. Happy mother’s day to three wonderful ladies and 159 years of family Tom history.
